The principle of genemting quadrature outputs by VCO is introduced．A detailed analysis is carried on the contribution of each component to phase noise for LC—VCOs．The conclusions are extended to the design of quadrature output VCOs．A low power and low phase noise quadrature VCO is simulated and sent to tape-out aiming to verify the optimizing metthods.
