Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology has found extensive applications in many fields of modem society. As a power boosting and a power dissipation device, the power amplifier plays an important role in the reader of RFID systems. The present status of power amplifier in CMOS process is disscussed, and its potential applications in RFID technology are summarized in the paper.
