Millimeter-wave (mm-wave) communication has drawn much attention due to up to 10Gbps data rate potential. Along with its rapid development, CMOS process has become promising for low cost mm-wave communication chips, even though great challenges still exist. In this paper, the challenges on the circuit implementation techniques in CMOS process for mm-wave communications have been discussed and possible solutions are overviewed, based on our recent research work.
